What is Member Rewards Currency?Member Rewards Currency is a digital reward that can be redeemed by using your mCard as a payment or checkout tool. To spend your Member Rewards Currency, you must use your mCards for eligible purchases. * Member Rewards Currencies are subject to applicable banking regulations, are not equivalent to legal tender/case and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Who can issue a branded currency with mCards?Currently, only select influencer financial partners, such as educational institutions, are able to issue branded Member Rewards Currency with mCards. However, this may be expanded in the future.

Do recipients need a bank account or traditional credit card to use mCards?Recipients can receive Member Rewards Currency on their mCard without a traditional bank account or credit card. However, to use the mCard for certain transactions or to earn additional rewards, linking a funding source (such as a bank account or credit/debit card) may be required.

Can we manage where and how the Member Rewards Currency is spent?Absolutely. There are controls in place to manage where and how Member Rewards Currency can be spent. Any limitations or restrictions are clearly disclosed to customers at the end of reward issuance and can be reviewed in the mCard app.

Do users still earn Member Rewards Currency from their linked cards when using the mCard?Yes. When users fund their mCard transactions with their own bank or credit cards, they continue to earn all Member Rewards Currency and benefits from those cards—plus any additional perks tied to the mCard and your branded currency.

How are branded currencies funded?Currencies can be funded by your organization, sponsor brands, or third-party contributors. Funds can be allocated as one-time drops, conditional rewards, or based on specific actions like referrals, purchases, or event attendance.

How long does it take to launch a branded mCard and Member Rewards Currency?Most organizations can launch their branded mCard and first currency campaign in as little as 4 weeks, depending on trademark reviews and campaign approval.
